Infinity IRC offers vanity hosts (vHosts) to anyone connecting to the network. The process is simple – you don’t even need to join any channels.
Simply type the following command into your IRC client, or the webchat on the website:
/msg hostserv request <vHost>Replacing <vHost> with the vHost you require.
Your vHost request will be sent to our staff team, who should process your request within a few hours. Once approved by staff, you will get a notice providing you are connected to IRC, letting you know that your vHost has been approved and you can activate it by typing /hs on. If you disconnect, staff will process your vHost request anyway, so if you’re not sure whether it’s been approved or not just ask in support or check by attempting to activate it (/hs on).
Please note that vHosts which use real domain name extensions i.e. example.com, example.org, will need confirmation of ownership. Any other made up extension i.e. example.vhost or john.doe will simply be checked by staff and approved as long as it is in line with our vHost Policy.
