Nickname registration is a simple process. All you need is to be connected to Infinity IRC and have access to your emails.

In your IRC client, or the web irc client, type the following command:

/msg nickserv register <password> <email address>

(Replacing <password> and <email address> with the correct respective values)

Your nickname will then be preliminarily registered. To complete registration, you now need to check your email inbox for a registration confirmation email from our services.

NB: We use proxying to protect the source IPs of our emails and services in order to avoid attacks causing detriment to the network. As a result of this, email can often take a while, so please be patient. It’s usually only a few minutes, but if you don’t get a confirmation email within half an hour, please notify our staff in #support.

Once you receive the confirmation email, it will contain a command and confirmation code which you must then enter into your IRC client connected to Infinity IRC in order to confirm your nickname registration. Once you’ve done this, all is good. Your nickname is registered and you can enjoy the features available to registered users.
