Welcome to Infinity IRC…
Infinity IRC is a safe, free and easy to use IRC network run by a team of passionate and savvy staff. You can chat with friends or make new friends by participating in some of the chat rooms on our network.
To connect and get chatting on Infinity IRC, you can either use our simple and intuitive web client, or you can connect an irc client to irc.infinityirc.com on port 6667.
We have a services system which will allow you to protect your nickname with a password to avoid others using it, and register your own channels to chat in. All our servers are dedicated to doing one job and that is providing a good IRC environment with less lag and lower latency. We are always looking for stable servers in the US which we would be happy to link. That is not all, we also offer the following services, free of charge:-
- LimitServ – A simple IRC service for channels, that changes the limit according to how many people are in the channel, this will help to prevent botnets and other kind of attacks.
- CustomServ – A service that allows custom bots with triggers that are requested for your channel. For example, you could have a bot called dcc in your channel that responds with “No flooding in #example or anything of the type like spamming. Ops have the final decision.” when !rules is typed.
- Logging services – We have unique logging services to watch over channels closely. This will help us stop attacks, spamming and other types of annoyances.
- IdleRPG bot and channel – A game where the aim is to do nothing and just idle in the channel for the longest.
- Pastebin – A simple pastebin, for sharing scripts and debugging errors with a simple online URL.
- IRC stats – Easy to use IRC stats with the ability to place a channel topic on a website.
- QDB – A fast and free QDB, for sharing the funny moments you have had on Infinity-IRC.
- Webchat – Straight forward IRC webchat, for putting on websites and blogs.
- Teamspeak – A teamspeak server for speaking to the members of Infinity-IRC with your computer microphone.
- A growing community! We have several users, on our forums, and our IRC network.
We look forward to seeing you around on the Infinity IRC network, and if you need help at any time feel free to come along and ask the experts in #help.
